From her early days in the bustling fashion industry of Toronto to her time as a dog trainer, birth doula, and lactation consultant, Shawn's passion for learning and serving others has always been at the forefront. But it was in 2006 that she embarked on her most ambitious venture yet—opening a retail store! So many great stories of hers begin with "this one time I bought a church" 

As her family grew, so too did her interests and business endeavors. From a thriving baby shop that evolved to cater to older kids, Shawn's entrepreneurial spirit led her to the creation of Myrtle in 2018—a women's clothing store, a place for women to buy comfortable, fashionable and size inclusive clothing.

With Myrtle's mission at the heart of everything she does, Shawn is dedicated to creating a comfortable life with fashion and gifts that speak to the soul. From clothing that feels as good as it looks to thoughtful gifts for all occasions, Myrtle is more than just a store—it's a destination where customers can discover pieces that enhance their lives and reflect their unique style.

In the winter of 2024, Shawn made the bold decision to combine her two shops into one location, creating a space that embodies the very best of fashion and gifts for all ages. This move has not only streamlined operations but has also strengthened her connection with her team and customers alike.
